Rock you like a MR. Metal Hurricane Hinge

Not using it for an RV but I was thinking outside the box when I stumbled upon a Hurricane Hinge as AI kept telling me to use a piano hinge, which wouldn't be good for many reasons.

I am upgrading a greenhouse I built over my basement stairs and wanted something I could lift up to make the stairs more accessible. Didn't know what to expect with MR. Metal Hurricane Hinge, but the price was right so took a chance.

I was surprised how thick the metal actually was and I can mount it a few different ways depending on how I want the swing and what degree. My roof will be 10 degrees about 4 1/2 feet and no worries on snow loads or wind. Or water for that matter.

I bought two of the 92" along with a bunch of T trim about $250 worth. Mr. Metal has the best prices on the internet I found and really reasonable shipping for long items.

If I need to purchase any more aluminum, I'll be back.

Oh and the shipping was very quick.
